Accessibilty
We have tried to make this website more accessible for those with sight or hearing problems.
Access Keys
Other than tabbing, accesskeys can help navigation without a mouse. This site complies with the UK Government Access Keys Standard
These keys do not interfere with browser defined accesskeys that work in the top menu of browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera). They tend to be the following “F,E,V,A,T,H,G,B,W,N,M”
. Nor do they interfere with our own set keys for the main pages on this website which are underlined on the navigation keys. For instance you will see the About Us page has the u underlined. In more detail the keys are as follows:-
In internet explorer press alt followed by the relevant key. Let go of all keys and press enter. On a mac substitute ctrl for alt. For netscape 7+ or mozilla you do not need to press enter. In other browsers access keys may not work.

Printing
When printing, the layout should adjust to become printer friendly. You should be able to access print preview from your browser to ensure the layout is acceptable before printing.
Further Accessibility Features
Standards
All of these pages have been validated as following a website code mark-up standard, namely HTML 4.01 Strict and valid css strict. This is technical mumbo jumbo but essentially means that the pages have been coded in such a fashion that they are more likely to be accessible to a number of users and will be rendered more successfully in different browsers. We hope that has been acheived here.
All of these pages have been approved as following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 via the webxact validation website, priority levels one to three. A triple a logo can be exhibited with such compliance. However, although webxact is a good starting point, manual checks are necessary as the software can verify compliance when that is not the position and cannot assess all of the guidelines.
For these reasons a double a logo only is displayed and we feel and hope that those standards have been met.
